"抱我吧。"
Now how many of u have heard this spoken to you by a guy b4? Today my classmate popped this phrase to me during a lecture. i was stunned for half a second. Then -
"No."
OK, i know he was joking (the lecture theatre was goddamn freezing) but still, i was stunned for a while cos i crush (or i tink i do) this guy.
After that he was like, "Why? 我很冷!" And i was like, "Sorry, but no." He said (whined) again and i was like, "Slap u lor." :P Haha.
Btw b4 that lecture i got to measure his arm cos we need to do 3 sculptures of human arms and i needed measurements for a guy's arm ;P
I hate it that artists can't hide their true character/state of mind. I felt this way after watching a video on a French sculpter (sculpteur) Auguste Rodin. When he was young, his work reflected classical influences, sort of like him paying tribute to his sculptor heroes. Then his works included very desirable-looking women. Later on when he fell in love, he starting making works charged with romance/sentimentality/an intense love esp of doomed couples from Greek poetry. He also made erotic scenes, some of which were violently erotic, for example the woman pouncing on the man, the man hugging the woman as she struggles, etc. It is inevitable that his work implicitly shows his state of mind. His veil of anonymity (under a name, under a job description, etc) is destroyed and i hate that. I don't want my insecurities/fantasies/dreams to be displayed like that. It's so embarrassing!! And the worst thing is that i am being embarrassed of myself and i can't help it!
How do u switch off ur heart and convince urself to take on a different character when doing ur work and then switch back to urself when u're done?
Arggh.
