DBSK Concert + Trip in KL (12July - 16 July 2006)
I went to Kuala Lumpur with my sis, my parents and my friends Stella & Ming Choo for Dong Bang Shin Ki's concert. We were there for 5 days, from wed to sunday.

So, were we on time to see DBSK at the airport?
Yes we were!!
Max (in the green hat), U-know (in the white hat), Hero (can only see his shoulder and hair. he's in a white shirt, looking at the floor)
While we were waiting, mc tot that DBSK had already left. We had several false alarms cos the fans shouted several times, thinking that it was DBSK when it wasn't. I was so nervous, it was as though i was going to see them one-on-one or going for oral exam or sth. But when they really came out, i saw Max's face first, and rather clearly too, and i tot, "This is the real deal! It's really them!!!" And i promptly went mad. I told mc, "Ohmygod it's really them!" and started to scream b4 i realised that the loud shrill scream assaulting my ears was actually coming from my mouth. I think i gave mc a shock, haha.
so sad...i kept seeing Max! And he's my least fave memberrrrr!!!!!!! And i only keep seeing him cos he was on of the tallest. And i saw U-know too, though i couldn't recognise him. i tot he was Hero cos his hair was so long. I tot i registered seeing Hero in black specs...was he wearing a dark grey hat? can't rmb clearly. I didn;t see micky and Xiah but i rushed to their van and managed to see a half-side view of xiah. He was trying to turn away from the van window cos another fangirl was pounding on it. He was wearing a white sleeveless top and a silver dangling earring and no sunglasses, i think. And the vehicle left b4 he could turn and let me see his face! Baka! i was just behind him on his right!!! Arrgh.
On the van leaving the airport. The airport is a pretty badly organised place. I'd never want to gonthere again. We spent hours (ok, i'm exaggerating here) trying to find our way out. And it's pretty inaccessible except by taxi, or the KL express/transit trains. WTF!

Thoughts on the Pre-concert
Goddamn idiotic fans!!!!!!!!! YOU WANT A PLACE IN THE QUEUE, YOU COME AND QUEUE FOR IT! DON'T FUCKING CUT QUEUE!! Assholes...there should be brooms for pple who spent the whole afternoon queuing up to shoo those assholes away!
There was a glitch w/ the tickets. For some reason, there weren't enough tickets! After 1hr of waiting, we finally got them, thank goodness.
I wanted to save water so i could drink during the concert but in the end the guards made us trash our water (they did bag checks on every single person entering the concert venue). Felt so stupid for saving my water in the first place! Was so dehydrated by the time i made it into the stadium. Grrr.
And wat's up with the pushing?!!!!!
GRRRRRRRRR. PUSHING DOES NOT MAKE US ENTER ANY FASTER OR THE DOOR OPEN ANY EARLIER SO QUIT SHOVING YOUR FAT BODY INTO MY BACK!!!! IT'S DISGUSTING TO FEEL UR FATS ON MY BACK, IN CASE YOU HAVEN'T NOTICED!!!! AND STOP FANNING URSELF AND HITTING ME AND MY FRIEND WITH YOUR FAN!!!! IF YOU'RE FEELIN' SO FUCKING HOT AND SQUASHED, THAT'S PROBABLY BECAUSE YOU are SQUASHED AGAINST THE PPLE IN FRONT OF YOU!!!!!! MOVE BACK, YOU *%^%$@%^@$%$#@ PIECE OF $^%%$^&**&$@#@!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was damn irritated with this fat girl behind me. She was leaning her whole weight on me! Wah lao! I had to stand on my toes and lean back against her to counter her weight. WE LOOK LIKE A WALL TO YOU???? HUH???!!! DO WE LOOK LIKE A fUCKING WALL TO YOU???!!!!!!!!!! Wah lao...can't stand these kiasu pple. Watching concert shud be a fun and happy thing, why did they have to be so kiasu and spoil pple's mood? KNNY....
Thoughts on the Concert
I was quite disappointed with the concert. I expected more interaction btwn DBSK and the audience but that didn't happen. I feel that DBSK gave half-hearted performances after like the first 2 songs. There was too much video effects. Like, hello, we want to see more of the guys, not the stoopid/unnecessary videos!
I guess DBSK must be feeling sian cos the turnout of the concert wasn't that good. I dunno...it was just average i guess. Not poor but average, which is below their expectations (they perform to sell-out crowds in Korea, i suspect). And i kinda understand how sian it can get if the prime areas (areas closest to the stage) are only half-filled. Seriously! They were only half to one-third filled. There was so much space ard me! That was really surprising...but then it was good cos there were less pple to block my view. I was abt 10m from the stage and beside the central lane....not a bad position. But...why is dbsk so dao? They didn't even look down at the pple at the sides of the lane! Grrrr. and i like tried every kind of waving to catch Xiah's attention - normal waving, pointing at him, jumping up and throwing 2 arms into the air, waving by only moving my fingers. And nothing worked. Xiah refused to look down at us. Hero too. Micky stood at our side for a VERY long while but he also didn't look at us. Wat the??!
It's liberating, watching concerts. Like, it's so dark u're sure no one will notice what u're doing so u just go ahead and do watever you want ;) I waved like crazy; i shouted like mad (mc can testify to it) and i shouted in eng even ("Go, Xiah!" "Xiah, you're so cute!"); i danced to the music; i jumped up and down on 5cm heels; i sang along with DBSK.
I shouted like crazy for Xiah. Yeah!!!!!!!!! But then...the crowd must have been disappointing to DBSK cos there were few pple who brought light sticks or banners cos the organisers told us not to, so as not to block pple's view. i agree totally with that rule but it just makes for a boring crowd. And we were quite uncoordinated. Not many pple swayed their arms when DBSK were singing the slow songs. Dunno why leh...basically we didn't respond much to them. But then why did they let their sian-ness creep up after only the 2nd or 3rd song?!!!!! Baka DBSK!!!!!!!!!!!!
Since Xiah is my fave member, i noticed him throughout the whole concert. Every time he sang, i made it a point to scream. Until i realised after some time that i can't scream and listen to him sing at the same time so i decided to scream selectively. Yay i'm so proud of him...he sang so well. I could sense him putting a lot of heart and energy into his performance. Quite early in the concert, my heart almost leapt out of my chest. Xiah suddenly jumped out to the central lane at this singing bit. And he jumped to our side! Wah, i tell u, seeing my idol do sth unexpected, and get unexpectedly close to me gave me such an adrenaline rush my entire body tingled - down to my toes. Really!
Immediately the pple ard all got really high started shouting and clambering for his attention. Without even a glance at us, he jumped to the other side of the lane and did the "Rain-thrusting-chest-out" move. (Hey! why didn't he do it at our side? i want to see him do it also! because the cassopia fans were on the other side???!!)
Wow! Was he high or what?!!!!! Well, he certainly had me fired up!! Whoo!
The only other member who dared to venture to the central lane spontaneously was Micky. 2 pple, out of 5. See how disappointed we were?
The facilites were kinda bad. There was this glitch at the start: DBSK was supposed to come out from these glass boxes and Xiah's glass box was tilted! *shakes head at malaysian concert staff* There were a few technical glitches too. And Hero & Micky forgot some of their song lyrics. (Hero got a glare from U-know, the leader of the band).
Their costumes were quite nice. i like the black suits and the white coats!! Everyone looked shuai in black and their white ensemble was reminiscent of winter clothes - they look good enough (and round and soft and warm enough) to hug!! :D And of course who can forget their attire for the song where Xiah jumped out (I think it was 'Dangerous mind'. Either that or 'Tri-Angle'): black ankle-length vests over black top and pants. Whoo! The sight of Xiah jumping towards us with his vest a-swishing...*heartbeat starts to race* I'll never forget it. Or rather, what i felt when he did it.
I feel that Xiah is the best performer. (ok, so i only paid attention to him thruout the whole concert) Changmin was a ghost! No one saw him at all during the concert, he was literally invisible! Hero was very sian. U-know can dance well but i dun like his voice. Anyway, i prefer Xiah's dancing...i think his dancing definitely improved since I saw him in the Rising Sun mtv. Micky...ok lah, i'll leave him for MC to devour. Yeah, so Xiah is my MVP (Most Valuable Performer).
The special guests, Super Juniors, were much more fun to watch!! Their songs were catchier and their energy level was generally higher. And they made a genuine effort to interact w/ the crowd! The concert has made me like Xiah more than ever and got me interested in Super Junior too :) Stella go buy their cd quick! so i can burn it from u! But seems like HMV doesn't carry their cd at all - i just checked ytd.
Ok. Finally typed my whole experience down. Gotta sleep now...later tml surely die (I'm waking up later at 6.15 for my camp).
