Haha~!!!!!! so HIGH today!!! YS said bye to me!!!! Heehee....Crazy Bao acting up again. ;P see, i went for physics tuition today. I was sitting opp (facing) Ys for the entire 2 and a half hrs! I was so nervous lah....arrgghhh... After the lesson, the other 2 nj girls said bye to him as they were leaving the classroom. He said bye to them then to me, but towards me he looked v scared, like unsure of whether he shud say/whether i'll respond of not...He gave me a teeny-tiny wave...damn funny/awkward but hey, YS SAID BYE TO ME~!!! hahahaha (wat a sack of shit i am)

Anyway i went to the toilet. When i came back to the tuition centre to return the keys (yes, the toilets are locked over there, probably to stop pple from hiding there and stealing buns from the Crsytal jade bakery right beside the toilet/stalking robin leong who owns the martial arts studio beside my tuition centre), to my surprise, he was sitting outside the classroom. He had his cap on and was quite shocked to see me.

I said, "I thought you were sleeping?" (Towards the end of the lesson, his head was literally on the table)

He replied, "No, it's too cold inside [the classroom]."

To which i said, "Oh, then you go back to sleep lah. Bye!"

Guys, u gotta watch Chn u frm 2.30 to 3.30!!!!! Not for Wan quan Yu Le or Zac Wang (Ren Fu) *hoRRoRS* but for the ridiculously funny/lame Wang Wang Commercials!!!!! Hilariously stupid!!!!! There are at least commercials for 5 products. My fave is the one for the Wang Wang Pao4 Pao4 Guo3 Dong4. Damn funnY!!!!!!!!! The tagline is "Wang wang quo dong zhen de hui sheng qi" cos it fizzles when u shake it, hence it'll 'sheng qi' (get angry)....Freaking crap...but freaking funny..

Can't sleep.

It's the panic, i know. The panic that always appears when exam dates start morphing into days of a week.

Now on to some happy news: going to watch Pride & Good Luck after Common Test!!!!! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ureshiiiiiiiii~~~~~!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think artists and philosophers are so sad....like, they see the world for what it really is...and....Arrrgghhh....it's so overwhelmingly sad

I'm having doubts abt pursuing a career in media. Like, all that money and cameras and beautiful pple.....all for wat? Seriously....yeah, pple are willing to pay for their entertainment but look at the size of some Hollywood stars' paycheques!!!! Some are like, equal to the income of a small African country!!!! (*hOrrOrS!!*) Ok, stars do deserve their pay but at the end of the day....wat the hell are all those films for??? pple are starving in other countries and they're 'making entertainment' and smiling and attening premeires. I really quesiton their contribution to society. If it is escapism that they provide, then what a hefty price we all have to pay for it!

Granted, films and dramas draw your attention to things happenng in other places and it's fine when they are used to inform and help us put things in perspective.

But i think the media is bad for like commercialising certain things like crappy shows (scooby doo/scary movie), reality shows (fear factor (frighteningly ridiculous & pointless show)/the bachelor/the simple life <--like our lives aren't miserable enough that we have to see those 2 socialites get thru 'the simple life' and then realise that it's juz an excuse to fatten their Prada purses & that their daddies are so f**king rich, they practically exist in a different plane from us normal folks), pop music (which boasted less flesh but more quality in the past), etc, all to increase the riches of a handful of already wealthy pple. What. The. Hell.

Moreover, the media perpetuates unhappiness & dissatisfaction amongst pple cos women can never look like a (pre-pregnancy) Catharine Zeta-Jones and men can never date someone like her.

Tv is arresting (colourful, snappy visuals!), brainless (open ur eyes & start absorbing; thinking is redundant), painless (juz sit and sit and sit on the sofa) and it's the staple form of entertainment for most pple in developed countries.

Sigh...why can't we all go back to the era where books reigned as the no. 1 entertainment-providers...At least it'll make me feel less guilty/ashamed for not helping our fellow human beings in other parts of the world.

Btw, Jonathan Phys Meyers, who starred in Bend It Like Beckham, was damn shuai in this white button-up shirt......

Been feeling real homesick lately....first went for a sleepover at Samantha's hse (she's my crAZy sec1~sec2 classmate) on wed. The next day, i slept over at MC's hse.

I'm CRAZY over him right now...No thx to Samantha, who's a super-duper crazy Kimura fan. ;P Been flipping thru all my mags for Kimura news...nearly went mad when i couldn't find this mag wif SMAP in it. Turns out it was with the rest of my mags all along...oh well...

Oh, yeah, i'm suppose to post sth abt the sleepover. The food was good (Samantha: thank your mum for the food k! =D)... the entertainment was good (in the form of a 12 hr dose of Kimura's face)...Only bad thing was the aircon!! It was super cold for me cos i always sleep w/o aircon/fan....

During the sleepover, i watched Kimura Takuya's new drama "Puraido" ("Pride"). It's really new cos it came out during March this yr. It's abt this cold, talented but self-assured ice-hockey (how cool is that?!) player, Satonaka Haru whose cold heart is melted by Aki, a woman who's waiting for her boyfriend to return. It's been 2 years since he'd left but her boyfriend has yet to contact her. In a bet with his friends, Haru decides to woo this woman and proposes that they have a game. That is, he'll be her stand-in boyfriend till her boyfriend comes back. And when he does, Aki will be free to return to her boyfriend.

The drama was pretty enjoyable, with a fair share of laughter and tears. To me, Pride's main selling points are that: 1) Kimura wa totemo kakkoii (his "Maybe"); 2) the music was good. (The theme song, Queen's 'Born to love you' is DAMN NICE!!!!!! RAAAAAAA~~~ Too bad the OST costs S$60, according to samantha); 3) That super zai team spirit!!!! ("Do you wanna win (win!) win (win!) win (win!)? Blue Scorpions, GO!!!!")Haizz....makes me feel like joining some team sport like bball or sth....that feeling of having a united team and working together to beat other teams..Damn shuang lah!!!!! It's juz so woah, like, a seriously indescribable ecstacy; 4) Kimura was really sweet to the girl ("Hidari? migi?"); 5) Kimura was topless in a few scenes in the show ("Love and Fight!"); 6) Kimura's hair looked good, gelled up or otherwise. =D ; 7) Kimura looked good in the show, esp during the ice hockey games, in his jersey and visor (And when he grips the left part of his ice hockey jersey covering his heart and closes his eyes to pray before the start of every match, i was so bowled over, i was just short of foaming at the mouth)

Okokok! Stop throwing those eggs!! i know u lot are sick of my kimura ravings already!!

She also showed me SMAP concert last yr, MIJ (Made In Japan). Woah....can Kimura move man.....he's so damn sey3 (this spelling is really weird but u get my drift). So cool. So cool. So cool. So damn cool. He loves to wink at the audience. And shake his butt. I liked his performance in the song "Touch Me Kiss Me"!!!

Sleepover at MC's hse
I was supposed to have dinner with Stella and Ming Choo at Ming Choo's hse. We had a great time tokking.....we wanted to have a sleepover but in the end Stella's mum din allow. =( so sad lor... In the end, the MC and i chatted with Stella over MC's speaker phone...haiz..

Don't think i can go out anymore this hols....my mum getting pissed. Frankly speaking she was pissing me off cos every other senttence to me will be "Have you studied?", even when i was having lunch she'd ask "Why are u still reading story books, why aren't you studying?" Like, what the hell? Can't i have some freedom over my rest time meh??? WTF....And everytime she calls home from work she'll be like, "Whole day day playing right, never study right?" WTH.....even if i've been studying, after listening to this i don't feel like studying anymore. I play for you to see lah, f***! i felt like running away or jumping down from my hse. Sooner or later, i'm going to shout at her....irritating..damn pissed off lor

I have to do things my own pace...hate pple pushing me to do things. Can't she have a little more faith in me? Can't i be doing sth right, just sth?

Damn tired now....reached home past midnight after the KinKi Kids Marathon with Stella and MC. SMS-ed them till 2am (And i only sent 4 msgs! Really reflects the speed and dexterity with which i type SMSes) and woke up at 8.15 for tuition...Tuition ended at 1pm and i visited the new JE library walked ard until 4pm....Damn friggin tired when i finally got home. Took a nap at 6 until 8 plus...but still v tired..

Only one thing to say: Where are the tables??!!!!! (there were only max 20 tables there...wth! Can't study there! Woodlands library has more tables lah!)

Another thing: Sack that band performing at the top floor. They're damn f**king noisy lah! The lead singer was literally screaming away. lor...wth. Like, huh? How can you browse for books when your head's close to bursting and all the cells in your body are screaming "I want OUT!"

I know they are a rock band. But for god sakes that place is a library! The 2 obviously don't mix!

Word of advise: Stay clear of the 4th level if you want your sanity and ear drums intact!


KinKi Kids Marathon
Was pretty fun....Watched MC's NG tapes first. (i'm still practising the "SUMIRE!" "TOMARE!")after that was KinKi Kids' F Concert (called ~Fun Fan Forever~).

They sang some older songs like 'Kiss kara hajimaru mystery' (which was the theme song of Kindaichi 2 way back in 1997 when we were still in pri 5!), 'Garasu no Shounen' (their first single , which was released in 1997. It brought back fond memories of us watching it in sec 4 when they performed it in their 2001 concert), 'Suppin Girl' (frm B album. Natsukashii!!!!!!!), 'Kimi Wa Naite Tsuyoku Naru' (frm C album. they have juz released G album so this song is like, 4 yrs old!), 'Ame No Melody' (AHHHHHHHHH!!!!! Love this song!!!!!!), as well as 'Boku No Senaka Ni Wa Hane Ga Aru' (a nice slow version...awwwwwww.....). Koichi showed off his hot dance moves as usual (but in this concert they employed like 10 female backup dancers....wth)

They also performed their newer songs: Hira Hira, Haruka Na Uta (A song with a distinctly Broadway/West Side Story feel. KK danced really kakkoii-ly for this song =D), Hey! Minna Genki Kai? (a new cooler version), Kanashimi Blue (KK performed this on Music station in Sec 4), Honey Rider (a rock song that makes u wanna jump), Rival, and Kokoro Ni Yume Wo Kimi Ni Wa Ai Wo (another happy chirpy song).

Tsuyoshi also sang his self-composed 1st single: Machi. (Theme song of his dorama "Yume no California" and found on his solo album. It's very nice....It's kind of like a coming of age song. Abt looking at how ur hometown has changed frm the time u were a kid till the present, when u're breaching the borders of teenhood and entering adulthood). Koichi had a dance item and another song 'Tsuki Yoru No Monogatari'. Once more, he demonstrated who's more superior at dance out of the 2 of them ;P

In this concert, they tried singing each others' songs. Tsuyoshi's comic timing was flawless and he was hilarious in Koichi's 'Shock' (Koichi's musical) get-up, complete with the traditonal jap costume and the infamous long white wig. Koichi wasn't as funny (to me) but still quite funny when he imitated Tsuyoshi singing his solo number 'Dekiai logic' and scolding the jrs who were playing the instruments for his song. (That perfectionist!)

At the 'end' of the concert, they sang 'Solitude~Hontou No Sayonara' (translation: 'Solitude~The Real Goodbye) at the end of the concert. Arrrrghhh......Really felt like crying at this part..... But obviously, being KinKi Kids, they'd never leave w/o an encore. =D

Yup! they returned with Eien No Bloods (happy happy coca cola advert song), the ever-useful crowd-pleaser 'Rocketman' (which never fails to make the audience HIGH) and finally 'Kono Mama Te wo Tsunaide' (translation: "[Let's] Keep Holding Hands Like This". This is the traditional KK concert ending song btw), which was the ABSOLUTE last song.

I felt so sad!!!!!!!!!!! Really felt like crying.....If i were at the concert i think at this point i'd start screaming "Kinki Kids! Don't go! Kinki Kids! NOOOOOOO!!!!!!!" even though i know it is pointless. But that's really how i feel. As Stella said, "When you hear this song u'd want to watch the concert all over again."

At the end of it all, KK went round the concert venue (it's a kinda like a stadium) thanking the fans. Tsuyoshi played it cool while Koichi thanked the audience with his trademark 'right-hand-over-heart' gesture. Ahhh......the nostalgia.....

Koichi Calendar
The first thing she sees every day is Koichi and the last thing she sees every night is also Koichi. Awwww......don't they sound like a married couple? haha...no lah...actually Stella bought the $52.50 Koichi calendar and it's now hanging on the wall opposite the head of her bed. Lucky girl! Can drool at shuai ge every night.

She showed us the pics and i think it's quite worth the $$$ cos the calendar is abt one and a half the width of our sch desk and there's like 13 pics (including the cover pic). You do the maths.

Stella likes pics of him smiling but I like the cover pic(a close-up of his face with him in a singlet) as well as pics of him sitting on chairs and acting cool (one in the middle of a forest and another at the beach right in front of the surf). He looks really elegant and princely. *swOOn* Haha but i like the one of him perched on a rock the most. Picture this: He's sitting on a rock, looking into the distance thru a pair of trendy brown sunglasses and has a blanket draped over his shoulder. Al this set against a clear blue sky.

Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind is a story of how a guy, Joel, decides to erase his girlfriend, Clementine, from his memory cos she impulsively erased him from hers. In the process, he revisits his memories with her and finds that he doesn't want to erase them after all....

ESOTSM was good. Better than average. But for me, i felt that it was missing sth. Missing that thing to make me fall in love with it. I dunno...Perhaps it's cos i've never been in love so i dunno what to feel when confronted with a film that deals with the pain & frustation of love.

However, i'm quite incredulous as to why Clementine would fall for Joel. She's this fun-loving, impulsive, 'carpe diem!' girl while he's some introverted, 'nice' & writes-in-a-diary kind of guy. Why would someone as crazy as she fall for such a boring (as she would eventually find) guy? Now that is really beyond me but as Tina said, that's not the point. Ok, fine...

I loved figuring out the story from the mish-mash past-present sequences. But (thankfully), they're nowhere as confusing as Momento. And i like the conclusion! =D In the end, in spite of erasing each other from their memories, Clementine & Joel eventually fall for each other again. They know they're gonna hate each other sooner or later yet they still plunge into a relationship. For the 2nd time.

"So it's a 'yes'?"
"Yes!"

Awwwwwww.... I felt really happy for them then =D You can change things but not things, if you know what i mean.

HAPPY 41st BIRTHDAY TO JOHNNY DEPP!!!!
(his birthday is exactly 7 days away, on 9 June)

Haha....i'm saving lots and lots of pics of Jonny Depp.....he's so shuai...hahaha...but why does he always look so dirty?!!! Hmmm....i think he'd have made a better Lestat than Tom Cruise. Anyway he'll make a mighty good vampire!!! =D Totally dig his dark, brooding look...

His life seemed pretty screwed....At the age of 12, he started smoking, then drinking and then drugs. He dropped out of school at the age of 16 to concentrate on his rock band. He started acting at 20, out of the need to bring the bucks in rather than interest. He was then married to a make-up artist 5 years his senior. With her help, he eventually clinched the role of an unfortunate boyfriend who got killed in the 1984 classic horror flick "Nightmare on Elm Street". After that, he went on to star in small parts and eventually shot to fame with his role as a young cop in a TV series "21, Jump Street". Receiving 10,000 fanmails a month, he was soon elevated to teen heartthrob status.

Eager to smash this stereotype, he ventured into numerous non-mainstream films like Ed Wood, Don Juan DeMarco, Dead Man, Donnie Brasco, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Blow, etc. (Yeah, i know...they're really "huh?" I've never heard of them b4 either.) He also turned down many roles that shot other actors to fame, among which included the lead role in Speed (in which Keanu Reeves shot to stardom), Brad Pitt's role in Legends of the Fall, and Lestat in Interview With a Vampire (which Tom Cruise took later on).

He was engaged twice and had 3 publicized romances before settling down with French actress Vanessa Paradis in 1998. Last yr, I watched a TV programme that interviewed him. About how he met his wife, he said that he was dining in a restaurant in France when spotted the back of her head. The moment she turned around, he knew that she was the woman for him.

So sweet rite???? =D And now they're married with 2 kids,a girl and a boy. Marriage and family is bound to come a-calling for everyone i guess, heartthrob or no heartthrob ;P
