Go watch A Very Long Engagement!!!

It's GREAT!!!!! Definitely not to be missed..the twists in the story were really....gets you thinking. After working in Mediacorp, i've come to realise the hard work it takes to make a film...

Audrey Tautou really owns this show. She literally shone in her role as Matilde. But her fiance...sorry to say but i didn't really feel emotionally attached to Manech at all. He seemed like a simple, sweet guy but that's all i get from him. And Matilde looks older than him. They're really sweet to each other..."MMM"..."Matilde's Marrying Manech" or vice-versa..

And that whole affair btwn Bastoche, Eloise & Benjamin :O I was like, "How can he ask her to do that?!!!!!"

Argggh...the film was so gripping i feel like getting the book...

Before the film started, i went to the toilet inside the cinema. I realised that the lights would come on when you close the door by some electric/magnetic whatever mechanism (it's physics-related, that's why i can't explain it). Anyway, i was happily p--ing in the toilet, minding my own business when the door started shaking. And what worse, the light started flickering. I thought someone was probably shaking the door from outside and i wanted to shout out but it was shaking really violently, so i thought it might be that kind of thing. So i shut up for fear of offending that thing.(wat if it doesn't let me out, right?) And i finished my business as quickly as i could (w/o even washing my hands) and opened the door. Sure enough (or rather, thankfully) there was a real person outside. Some guy. He was looking somewhere else (presumably at some poor cinema staff) when i came out. As i walked past him, i gave him a "wat-a-pervert" look which he'd probably missed in the dark. Whatever. Irritating. During the movie he sat in the row in front of me and laughed too loudly...uggh..

Sighz....but at the same time, i wished sth had happened out of this encounter like they do in manga..Maybe i should have said 'pervert' in his face.. but i guess he'd probbly punch me. Actually i saw this guy before entering Cine. He was smoking outside. (gag) Our run-in outside the toilet..him sitting in front of me..is this fate?

Juz watched a movie called "white noise". The movie explores the possibilities that would result from communication with the dead through electronic devices such as TV & radio. The plot was slow (pple get impatient when they can't make out anything from the static) and there were hardly any scares (i was laughing when the main character got attacked by the 3 'evil ghosts').

Pple, PLEASE DO NOT watch it.

I wan to go river hongbao tonight..but i'm feeling lazy cos the past few days i've been staying up late to watch Gokusen. But then such celebrations only appear once a year...

I watched Hotel Rwanda ytd. Damn good show! The horrors of war...it can never cease to fill pple with fear, no matter how many times you see it, no matter who the victims/aggressors are. I really admire Paul Rusesabagina. My gosh how can he keep his cool in those times of danger...bargaining with the soldiers, sometimes with a gun pointed to his head/his family memebers?? The radio pouring with fallacious propaganda that sow discord amongst neighbours/colleagues. Massacres. Blood. Streets strewn with corpses. The thought of such horrors happening in S'pore. ..It's damn scary!!! The movie made me feel like i could never be happy again...

The thought of us celebrating when others in other parts of the world are suffering...we seem like such idiots..why are we celebrating wheh the world is not right?? Look at the present, don'ty dwell on the past.

So. I'm thankful that my family is here with me this New Year..And my maternal granddad's health has improved...Thank God.
